Want to know how to make felt?????
One of my great passions is teaching other people.
It is not only amazing to watch your creations unfold,
but also exciting to see your skills develop as we journey through a workshop.
I teach both the traditional methods of feltmaking and needle felting.
Though I have to admit needle felting is one of my other great passions!
Workshops can be organised in your area
and tailored to suit the needs of the individuals attending.
Tutorials and mini workshops can also be provided for high school students.
Many groups from dolls makers, knitters to textile groups have invited me
to be guest speaker at their meetings.
I am only too happy to join you at one of your meetings and share some of my experiences!

Intro to Needlefelting
1/2 Day 9.30 - 12.30
Don't feel confident enough to needlefelt?? Come along to this workshop and we will explore your creativity through needlefelting. Most of us don't spend enough time playing, join me and nurture your inner child by playing! Spend three hours playing with fibre, giving you the opportunity to see if you would like to learn more about needle felting.

The Heads Up on Needlefelting
1 Day 9.30am - 3.30pm
This is an opportunity to pick up a felting needle and learn how to sculpt using fibre.
Through creating a human head we will explore a wide range of techniques that you
can then use to create what ever you want.
From Fibre to Form 1
2 Days 9.30am - 3.30pm
Over two days you will be guided through the journey of making a two legged creature.
It may be human or magic/mythical (gnomes, fairies, trolls!),
often the creatures decide themselves what they want to be and they take us along for the ride!
As we travel along, I will be your guide, encouraging and teaching you
as you learn to choose your fibres and your needles,
through to creating body shape and eventually dressing your new friend.
From Fibre to Form 2
2 Days 9.30am - 3.30pm
Making four legged creatures are different to the human form,
there are paws, claws, muzzles and lots more to consider.
This workshop gives you the opportunity to explore animals in the felted form.
They may be realistic - cats, bears, or mythical - dragons, centaurs!
Creatures may also be clothed if desired.
Inside
Out Bearmaking
2 Days 9.30am - 3.30pm
With needle felting you really do make the bear from the inside out!!
Learn not only the basics of needle felting a bear but also the finer points of open mouths,
brows and paw pads.
We will also discuss how to translate these skills into your cloth bear making to create
your own individual style of bears.
